The Greatest Goan Festival in London Over 10,000 in attendance.

To All My SJCSZ & Global Friends,

It gives me great pleasure to share with you some photographs and a couple of Video Clips taken at the Goan Festival London on Sunday, July 28th 2013 which was just a fabulous event organised by Ravi Vaz the young President of The Goan Association UK who is enterprising and dynamic in every way and certainly knows how to host a major event.

Congratulations to Ravi Vaz & his great Committee members.

We were  fortunate to have amongst us our own Goan Member of Parliament Keith Vaz who presented a good speech which can be heard on my amateur video. He certainly gave us a few good laughs.

Highlight of the occasion was the fabulous top showbband from Goa 'FOREFRONT', and for those who attended our St. Joseph's Convent Zanzibar Reunion held in Goa in 2008, you will remember the band members who performed for our function on the opening night at Palmarinha Resort. 

Forefront were sponsored by Tilda/Air India who also donated the first prize raffle with 2 tickets to any part of India. 

I do not need to say anything more as you folks can follow all the activities on the Goan Association (UK) website.

SURPRISE SURPRISE - BEN, BET & ALBERT MEET UP WITH GENNY DE LORD

SEVERAL SOLO ARTISTS, BANDS, DJ'S & CULTURAL SHOWS TOOK PLACE DURING THE COURSE OF THE FESTIVAL BUT WITH MY LITTLE CAMERA I ONLY CAPTURED

'FOREFRONT' GOA'S LEADING BAND IN ACTION WHICH WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE FESTIVAL AND ESPECIALLY BECAUSE 'FOREFRONT' PERFORMED FOR OUR SJCS ZANZIBAR REUNION IN GOA AT THE PALMARINHA HOTEL 2008.

You bet our President can certainly dance - Wish I captured his dancing on stage earlier. Unfortunately we were at the back at the time enjoying a plate of Sorpotel so missed out on the action. Surely you will see it all in the professional videos which will follow on the Goan Website if not already there.

A Voluntary Organisation Founded 1966

The Goan Association (UK) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1966 and incorporated as The G.O.A (UK) Ltd in 1983.

The management body comprises of a Board of 12 Elected Directors supported by a Company Secretary and a General Secretary (for names and telephone numbers, see under CONTACT US on the Website menu). All office-bearers serve in a voluntary capacity and this has been the case since its inception.
